Just wondering if anyone else eating vegan is also receiving treatment for an underactive thyroid? I get tired alot from this condition and i find I feel quite unwell if I have too much junky food (chips etc). Any thing I should know?

I mean, either Zuko cheating on Mai with Katara then ends with Zutara, or Maiko that eventually becomes Zutara?

I have a small to medium pumpkin (maybe more medium) that I would like to stuff and roast. However, I'm at a loss, both for what to stuff it with (I'm thinking a savoury rice mixture) and technique. Would anybody have a tried and true recipe? Or any suggestions whatsoever?

Everyone discussed Sakura, but what I thought much more interesting is Naruto's answer to her that he is going to save Sasuke. (Sleepyfans' translation has "help" him, but Binktopia and cnet say "save Sasuke".) They restored my faith in the author and his ability to write morally complex stories (not in his ability to create complex female characters. I never had much faith in this.)

I was in the backyard earlier cleaning out the rat cage and I discovered this adorable baby hiding out near the water hose. This is the first living snake I've seen all year. He/She's so cute!

Lisa Harney passes on the call to boycott Feministing, in part on behalf of their failure to address transphobia in comments posted there. That's easy enough for me; I haven't read that site in ages because of transphobia and cissexism, among other reasons.

Between the fairly common straight-up transphobia on feminist blogs, and unchecked transphobia in comment threads, in fact, there is almost no feminist forum on the web anymore that I feel safe reading. Twisty? Nope. Feministe? Nope. Pam's House Blend? Nope.

Really the only major feminist blog I feel safe at anymore as a trans woman is Shakesville. Livejournal seems mostly safe. But my feminist world becomes smaller and smaller to the point where I have to wonder if I can really be a feminist anymore. Now I'm beginning to question even whether or not it is feasible to retrofit a critical analysis of society based on gender to cope with the fact that some women are assigned male at birth and some men are assigned female at birth. I used to think, "Sure, why not?" But the "why not" is playing out in the blogosphere: transgender acceptance within feminism is looking more and more every day like a failed experiment.

About: Hell-o, people! You can call me Itoe, I'm 18 years old and studying to be a genetist (not in University yet, though). I'm kinda new to LJ, don't have many friends (and those I have never read me u_u), so I thought this was a great way to meet new anime fans from here. I went to a friends house yesterday and they gave me a bag of farm fresh peppers, all sorts of bell peppers and something called a sweet tooth pepper which I had never heard of before. There is likely enough to feed me for a week. I want to do stuffed peppers obviously, and I was thinking of a roasted red pepper hummus.

Any other ideas?
